Well well well.  Vodafone, one of the biggest carriers in the Netherlands is envying T-Mobile's iPhone deal that they want to hit that too. So what have they done? Well, they are trying to snag a couple of customers or potential customers away by actually offering iPhone subscription plans but without iPhones. That's crazy. They actually mention that you have to use an unlocked iPhone go the one of their stores and only then you can close the deal. However the rates that they're offering are slightly less expensive, with a faster internet connection and much better coverage. At least in the Netherlands. Wow, they look kinda nice, don't they?! If I ever wanted to wrap up my iPhone in a skin, then these might be my choice. They look different than most silicone cases that are out there. T-mobile Netherlands just announced that the sale of the new iPhone 3G will start at 00:00 hrs Alpa time ( that's at midnight) next thursday to friday. As soon as the little and big dial line up at exactly midnight T-Mobile will provide 500 iPhones for the needy people.    I'm very curious how the Dutchies will handle this release and if they go frenzy just like the Americans on the otherside of the big pond. While in full anticipation of the new iPhone I can't help but look all on the interwebs for a way to obtain one for the lowest price possible. On this great long lasting search, which I like to refer to as the 'c'mon dude don't you have something better to do than spend lots of time searching for the same keywords over and over again in google  "cheap"+"iphone 3G" -adventure'. I found out that a lot of other great sites already have done the math for me. Big Yay! The nice veteran site TUAW has created a nice overview of all the different prices around the globe. So as a European, I wonder what my cheapest options are. So here they come: The cheapest 8 GB phone will be for sale for €1,- in Finland, Germany and the Netherlands. Take into account that you will most likely have to subscribe for a two-year plan! Two years can be a loooongg time, especially with all the Apple goodness coming out every half year or so.
