It is developed by Proximi.

 

 

MagicPad is an application that is similar to the Notes application found on the iPhone, adding select, copy / paste and rich text formatting to the application. They have posted an interesting video where they do a proposal for a system wide select, copy / paste, text formatting feature for the iPhone, for your convenience we have posted it down here:

It works but doesn’t look nice and easy enough to be the solution. I bet Apple will come out with something similar in a future software update, but better. The interface, software and multi touch engineer(s) working on copy / paste at Apple’s iPhone group have probably been sent back to the coding board several times by mr. Jobs already, he wants it to be perfect.
